Journalist, PJ O’Rourke offers his hilarious whistle-stop tour of one of the Eighteenth century's most influential works. Championed in the era of Thatcherism and Reganomics as the philosopher of the free-market and the prophet of ‘trickle down’ Adam Smith’s work continues to gather disciples. Although, as tonight’s guest, “Republican party Animal” PJ O’Rourke suggests, few of these acolytes read completely, or completely understand, this massive work.
