Physician and humourist, Dr. Garry Fitzgerald, introduces us to the pleasure and the pains of the anatomical touchstone, first published in 1860 by Henry Gray. Although Gray died just three years later, successive generations of publishers and physicians have kept the publication alive, even bringing the book into the digital age, with the new Electronic Gray’s.
